Message 4 - The Way, The Truth and The Life

In this episode, Pastor Robert Thibodeau shares the life-changing truth that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He explains what it means to follow the narrow path with Christ and how His radical love calls us to love even our enemies.

With practical stories and encouraging insights, Pastor Bob shows how living out Jesus’ words can transform our hearts and make us a light in a world that needs hope.

In this episode of The Red-Letter Crusade, Pastor Bob Thibodeau shares a powerful message on “The Word.” He reminds us that Jesus’ words aren’t just history—they’re alive, filled with life and power to change us today.

Pastor Bob challenges us to go beyond just hearing Scripture and to let it take root in our hearts so our lives reflect Jesus. With his down-to-earth style and a touch of humor, he shows why feeding on God’s Word is just as essential as daily bread. This message will encourage you to make the Word a priority and live it out every day.

Speaker A:

And how to walk through this life with freedom through faith.

Speaker A:

And now, here's Pastor Robert Thibodeau.

Speaker A:

Hello, everyone, everywhere.

Speaker A:

Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.

Speaker A:

Welcome to Freedom through Faith.

Speaker A:

Glory to God.

Speaker A:

We're so blessed that you're joining us here today.

Speaker A:

And we just appreciate all that you're doing with us.

Speaker A:

We thank you, Lord, for taking care of us, blessing us.

Speaker A:

And for some reason, our streaming is not happening, so I need to take care of that.

Speaker A:

Praise you, Jesus.

Speaker A:

Give me a second here, folks.

Speaker A:

Technical difficulties.

Speaker A:

It's always something, isn't it?

Speaker A:

The devil is a liar.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

And we are blessed beyond measure.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

And wouldn't you know, right when I needed to do it, it's not working right.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Well, may just be doing the radio today.

Speaker A:

Praise the Lord.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Praise you, Jesus.

Speaker A:

Jesus, help me here, Lord.

Speaker A:

Can't figure how to get out of this situation now.

Speaker A:

Praise you, Jesus.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah, Lord.

Speaker A:

What do I need to do here?

Speaker A:

Sometimes things just don't work.

Speaker A:

Technology just doesn't want to work the way it's supposed to.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

There we go.

Speaker A:

Let's get rid of that.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Go live now.

Speaker A:

We're just gonna go without it then.

Speaker A:

Praise the Lord.

Speaker A:

We'll just record.

Speaker A:

Record this and post it to the video later.

Speaker A:

How about that?

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Cut off the stream and just do the radio.

Speaker A:

Praise the Lord.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker A:

There we go.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Hello, everyone, everywhere.

Speaker A:

Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.

Speaker A:

Welcome to Freedom through Faith.

Speaker A:

We'll try that again.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

And today we are in message number four of.

Speaker A:

Now, why isn't this working now?

Speaker A:

And I got all sorts of technical problems here today, man.

Speaker A:

But we are in message number four of our study of this book right up here.

Speaker A:

The what did Jesus say?

Speaker A:

Seven messages from the master.

Speaker A:

It's the red letter words of Jesus.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And we are just blessed beyond measure because we get to study what Jesus said.

Speaker A:

I mean, these are.

Speaker A:

Have you noticed that there's moments in life where everything seems to stop, right?

Speaker A:

The noise, the distractions, the obligations.

Speaker A:

All of it fades when the voice of.

Speaker A:

Of Jesus just begins to speak, Right?

Speaker A:

I mean, that's the atmosphere we're stepping into today.

Speaker A:

Because when the Master teaches, I mean, he's not just informing us, he's inviting us.

Speaker A:

Not a lecture, but to a way, not to a religion, but to a relationship, not to rules, but to life.

Speaker A:

I mean, this message, I am the way, the truth, the life, is more than the title of a sermon, okay?

Speaker A:

It is a declaration from Jesus himself.

Speaker A:

The kind of statement that either demands full surrender or draws sharp resistance.

Speaker A:

One thing is certain in all of this, though.

Speaker A:

It leaves no room for neutrality.

Speaker A:

I've said for years, no decision is a decision, right?

Speaker A:

In the military, I tell my troops, make a decision based on the information you currently have, and we can adjust it from there as needed.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

I mean, in the Cav, wherever we were making a charge to, you know, or a change to the missions operations order, it was called a frago, or a fragmentary order.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

The original plan is still intact, except, you know, that would be the frago that's given.

Speaker A:

It may be, you know, to hold fast instead of advancing.

Speaker A:

It may be to proceed to the next checkpoint instead of holding fast.

Speaker A:

I mean, whatever the.

Speaker A:

The change that was needed was, it was issued with a frago.

Speaker A:

And the order would come over the radio so everyone knew it.

Speaker A:

It'd be fraggle, fraggle, frago.

Speaker A:

And then the new instructions be given.

Speaker A:

General George Patton, my idol, when I was back in the military, he had a model and a saying that I lived by.

Speaker A:

I'd rather have a good plan implemented now than a perfect plan tried later.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And that's what we're going to be studying today.

Speaker A:

Because Jesus never said, I know the way and I'll show you what it is.

Speaker A:

No, he said, I am the way.

Speaker A:

Follow me.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

He didn't claim to share the truth.

Speaker A:

He is the truth.

Speaker A:

And he didn't come to help us find life.

Speaker A:

He said, he is the life.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

So the mission is to follow him.

Speaker A:

That's what we're supposed to do.

Speaker A:

And we adjust our path as we go to stay behind him.

Speaker A:

Wherever he leads, we should follow.

Speaker A:

We don't want to get out in front of him and say, hey, Jesus, follow me.

Speaker A:

No, it doesn't work that way.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

At this point in our journey through.

Speaker A:

What did Jesus say?

Speaker A:

Seven Messages from the Master by Reverend Terry, a Christian.

Speaker A:

This book right up here, right?

Speaker A:

We've already heard Jesus identify himself as the Christ, the Messiah, and we've come face to face with the weight of His Word.

Speaker A:

But now he is gonna lay it all out just plain as day.

Speaker A:

No parables, no riddles, no hiding It Jesus is just red letter truth that strips away every excuse, it strips away every error of our ways.

Speaker A:

It calls us to the only path that leads to eternal life.

Speaker A:

Himself.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Picture the crowd.

Speaker A:

You know, they've gathered again.

Speaker A:

Some are there because of what he did before.

Speaker A:

You know, they've heard about it.

Speaker A:

Others because you know, of what he might do next.

Speaker A:

They want to see another miracle.

Speaker A:

They want to see the show.

Speaker A:

But the ones who lean in the closest, the ones who try and get right up next to him, they've tasted something that the world could not give them.

Speaker A:

They felt peace in his presence.

Speaker A:

They've seen compassion in his eyes.

Speaker A:

They've heard authority in his tone and his voice that no rabbi could match.

Speaker A:

And the disciples, they stand nearby, still processing everything they've witnessed.

Speaker A:

The healing, the connections, the declarations, the love.

Speaker A:

And there's a tension in the air.

Speaker A:

Not because Jesus is angry.

Speaker A:

No, no.

Speaker A:

But because the moment itself is weighty, I guess you could say.

Speaker A:

I mean, it's.

Speaker A:

There's a presence.

Speaker A:

There's an eternal presence even.

Speaker A:

And every time he speaks, heaven touches the earth.

Speaker A:

But this time.

Speaker A:

This time feels even more direct, more intense, more focused, like he's about to peel back every layer of distraction.

Speaker A:

And he says, here is the only road forward.

Speaker A:

Walk in it.

Speaker A:

And to be honest, isn't that what we need today?

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

In a world filled with countless options, endless philosophy, spiritual confusion, Jesus cuts through the fog with clarity.

Speaker A:

You don't have to wander.

Speaker A:

You don't have to wonder.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

You don't have to question where to turn.

Speaker A:

Because the way is not a system.

Speaker A:

The truth isn't a theory.

Speaker A:

Life isn't a lifestyle.

Speaker A:

It's a person.

Speaker A:

Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

So as the crowd settles in, as hearts open and distractions start to fall away, and Jesus takes his place once again, his voice will carry, his eyes will pierce.

Speaker A:

And the crowds, the living, breathing words of the Father will go forth to everyone who's basically willing to hear.

Speaker A:

Just like we are today.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

So this is the moment where eternity and choice meet.

Speaker A:

This is the call that demands a response.

Speaker A:

This is the message that doesn't just invite you to believe, it calls you to follow.

Speaker A:

Jesus steps forward.

Speaker A:

The crowd leans in.

Speaker A:

His disciples grow still.

Speaker A:

And then the Master begins to speak.

Speaker A:

Jesus opens his mouth and begins this message with something so radical, so disruptive to the natural way of thinking, that it stuns the crowd.

Speaker A:

In the silence, he says, give to everyone who asks of you.

Speaker A:

And from him who takes something away, who takes Away your goods.

Speaker A:

Don't even ask for them back.

Speaker A:

That's in Luke chapter 6, verse 30.

Speaker A:

Now before we brush past that, let's remember who he's talking to.

Speaker A:

These weren't your modern day suburban citizens in a free democracy.

Speaker A:

These were Jews living under Roman occupation.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

The streets were patrolled by Roman soldiers, armed, entitled, backed by Caesar's authority.

Speaker A:

If a soldier passed through town and didn't feel like carrying his pack anymore, it was common practice just to grab a bystander and force them to carry it, sometimes a mile or more.

Speaker A:

And you couldn't refuse if you did.

Speaker A:

If you refuse, I don't.

Speaker A:

I'm not carrying your pack.

Speaker A:

Who you think you could be beaten?

Speaker A:

You can be thrown in jail or maybe even worse.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

That's the.

Speaker A:

That's what they were living under.

Speaker A:

So when Jesus said, give to everyone who asks and don't demand your goods back, he wasn't just talking about being kind to other people.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

He was challenging centuries of bitterness and injustice and cultural resentment, basically.

Speaker A:

So this was a direct assault on the instinct for self preservation.

Speaker A:

He was saying, just don't go one mile when you're forced to go to and smile while you're doing it.

Speaker A:

Don't give just because you're pressured to.

Speaker A:

Give because you trust your Father in heaven.

Speaker A:

Now think about this.

Speaker A:

He wasn't just teaching about being weak and passive.

Speaker A:

No, he was preaching freedom.

Speaker A:

Freedom.

Speaker A:

Freedom from the bondage of retaliation.

Speaker A:

Freedom from the illusion that your provision depends on what you can protect and what you can gather.

Speaker A:

Jesus was saying, if someone takes from you, don't fight to get it back.

Speaker A:

Trust that the God who gave it to you once will give it to you again.

Speaker A:

Pressed down, shaken together, running over.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

That's why.

Speaker A:

This is why he taught giving not as a temple ritual, but as a lifestyle.

Speaker A:

Not just into the offering plate, but to everyone who asks something from you.

Speaker A:

Every opportunity you have, you give because you're not owned by your stuff.

Speaker A:

Hear me now.

Speaker A:

Consider it a gift God gives.

Speaker A:

Because your treasures in heaven give, because it reflects the nature of your Father who gives freely to both the just and the unjust.

Speaker A:

He says.

Speaker A:

And yes, if someone borrows something from you and never returns it, he said, just consider it a gift.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Why, Brother Bob?

Speaker A:

Doesn't make sense.

Speaker A:

Because you're not giving to them.

Speaker A:

You're giving through them.

Speaker A:

Think about this.

Speaker A:

Hear me now.

Speaker A:

Think about this.

Speaker A:

You're giving through them to God.

Speaker A:

Did you get that?

Speaker A:

When you sow into a ministry or into a project.

Speaker A:

You're not just giving to the church or giving to the ministry or giving to the poor person on the street.

Speaker A:

No, you're giving that money to God through them.

Speaker A:

That needs to be your attitude.

Speaker A:

Let that sink in for a moment.

Speaker A:

Just as the crowd was still reeling from that kingdom reality, Jesus continues.

Speaker A:

He raises his voice just enough to reach the back row and says, enter by the narrow gate.

Speaker A:

Matthew 7:13.

Speaker A:

That line changed the tone immediately.

Speaker A:

This wasn't optional.

Speaker A:

This wasn't metaphorical.

Speaker A:

Think about it.

Speaker A:

This was a command.

Speaker A:

The broad gate was visible to everyone.

Speaker A:

Everyone could see the big gate.

Speaker A:

It was easy.

Speaker A:

It was popular.

Speaker A:

Everyone was going through it, right?

Speaker A:

Think about going to Disneyland.

Speaker A:

It's been 10, 12 years since I was at Disney World, but I know it's the same way.

Speaker A:

So you know, you.

Speaker A:

You're in this line to this attraction, and there's a big crowd there, and the lines narrow down there, down.

Speaker A:

Then you get a sign says, one hour from this point.

Speaker A:

You've already been in line for 45 minutes.

Speaker A:

Now you got another hour away.

Speaker A:

Look behind you, and that line stretches out, say, well, we're not getting out of line.

Speaker A:

We'll just stay here now, right?

Speaker A:

Think about that in those terms.

Speaker A:

I mean.

Speaker A:

I mean, now, if you're at Disney World and you have a special pass, right?

Speaker A:

That special pass, there's a small gate that you can go through off to the side, right?

Speaker A:

It's not visible immediately.

Speaker A:

There'll be a sign up there, special pass.

Speaker A:

And you bypass the crowd, right?

Speaker A:

You bypass the crowd, and they don't have that special pass.

Speaker A:

That's what we have, Praise God.

Speaker A:

We have a special pass given to us by Jesus.

Speaker A:

Glory to God.

Speaker A:

But the large gate is also deceptive because, well, it's large, it's visible.

Speaker A:

It's a sign gate right there, right?

Speaker A:

And most people are trying to get through it.

Speaker A:

What they don't know is that it leads straight to hell, straight to their destruction.

Speaker A:

And many, not a few, Jesus said, many walk that road.

Speaker A:

They try to force their way through that gate.

Speaker A:

Jesus wasn't trying to scare them here.

Speaker A:

He was trying to save them.

Speaker A:

He was offering them a choice.

Speaker A:

He said, narrow is the gate, and difficult is the way.

Speaker A:

Way which leads to life.

Speaker A:

And there's only a few that find it.

Speaker A:

Matthew 7:14.

Speaker A:

Few notice that.

Speaker A:

Few.

Speaker A:

Few who find it.

Speaker A:

The narrow gate is sometimes hard to find, isn't it?

Speaker A:

If you don't know where it's at, it's easy to miss.

Speaker A:

At Disney World, the crowd goes where, where the big Gate is why?

Speaker A:

Well, that's where all the people are headed.

Speaker A:

It must be the right way.

Speaker A:

That's what the thinking is.

Speaker A:

That's where all the people are trying to squeeze in, waiting in line, waiting their turn.

Speaker A:

So they think this must be the right way because everybody's going over there.

Speaker A:

But the narrow gate off to the side, it's only a few that find that one.

Speaker A:

It may be around the corner, but it's a lot easier to pass through when you know where it's at.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Not because the invitation isn't open to everyone, but because few are willing to surrender their own way and their own ideas to walk in his.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

The narrow path costs you something.

Speaker A:

You want that special pass, you got to pay extra.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

The narrow path, a narrow gate will.

Speaker A:

Will cost you something as well.

Speaker A:

Your pride, your claim to rights, your opportunity to gain revenge, your self rule.

Speaker A:

It cost you something for that narrow gate with Jesus as well, but it gives you something priceless in return.

Speaker A:

Eternal life.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Shout Amen.

Speaker A:

Somebody somewhere, Praise the Lord.

Speaker A:

This was no longer about being impressed by his miracles or inspired by his parables with this crowd.

Speaker A:

This was now about a decision.

Speaker A:

He was laying out the opportunity for them to make a decision.

Speaker A:

You could go with the crowd or you could walk with the King.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And he's clearly saying here, the choice is yours to make.

Speaker A:

Which path do you want to follow?

Speaker A:

He's saying the same thing to you today.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

And to make sure there was absolutely no confusion about what he meant, Jesus told a story that everyone would understand.

Speaker A:

He said, whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, he said, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Matthew 7:24.

Speaker A:

The rock wasn't his teachings in theory, it was his teachings being obeyed.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

It was the one who not only hears, but acts.

Speaker A:

The one who doesn't just say yes, Amen, but lives out.

Speaker A:

They just don't say Amen in church on Sunday morning.

Speaker A:

They live it out Monday morning when they go to work or stuck in the rush hour traffic.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

That person, Jesus said, is building on solid ground.

Speaker A:

And when the storms come, and the storms will always come, don't they right?

Speaker A:

His house will stand, Jesus said.

Speaker A:

But the one who hears his words and doesn't do them, that person's building on the sand.

Speaker A:

It might look good from the outside.

Speaker A:

It goes up quickly.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

But the moment the pressure hits, the foundation is exposed and the whole thing collapses around Like a house of cards.

Speaker A:

And Jesus said that collapse is great.

Speaker A:

So many people today want Jesus as their savior, but they don't want him as their foundation.

Speaker A:

That's the problem.

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah, I heard somebody through the spirit say ouch right there.

Speaker A:

Yeah, praise God.

Speaker A:

They want his peace, but not his process.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

They want heaven's outcome without walking heaven's path.

Speaker A:

But Jesus didn't say he's blessing every path.

Speaker A:

He said he's only going to bless one path.

Speaker A:

And he said, I am that path.

Speaker A:

Singular, exclusive, eternal.

Speaker A:

The crowd may have been unsettled by those words, but Jesus wasn't offering comfort.

Speaker A:

He was offering truth.

Speaker A:

And truth always, always, always, always demands action.

Speaker A:

You can't build your life on the sand and pray that storms will always pass you by.

Speaker A:

You build on the rock or you fail.

Speaker A:

It's simple as that.

Speaker A:

So the question remains, what are you building your future on?

Speaker A:

Because if Jesus isn't your way, then no matter how sincere your intentions are, you're still lost.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Because love is the way.

Speaker A:

Jesus didn't blink when it.

Speaker A:

When the religious leaders tried to trap him in things, right?

Speaker A:

They always, always thought they could corner him with their theology and their hermeneutics and all that stuff.

Speaker A:

But every single time, he cut through their games with the clarity of heaven.

Speaker A:

So when one of them, a lawyer, asked, teacher, tell us which is the greatest commandment in the law?

Speaker A:

I mean, Jesus didn't even hesitate, did he?

Speaker A:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.

Speaker A:

That is the first and greatest commandment.

Speaker A:

And the second was, like it, where you have to love your neighbor as yourself.

Speaker A:

On those two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Speaker A:

Matthew 22, verses 37 through 40.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Did you hear what Jesus just said?

Speaker A:

Everything hinges on love.

Speaker A:

Love isn't optional.

Speaker A:

This wasn't new, but the way Jesus said it made it new.

Speaker A:

He wasn't talking about shallow affections or polite tolerance.

Speaker A:

He was talking about consuming, comprehensive, God first, others before me type of love.

Speaker A:

That kind of love doesn't change.

Speaker A:

It just doesn't change how you feel.

Speaker A:

That kind of love is what he was about to demonstrate at the cross.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Later that evening, he was sitting with his disciples, preparing them for what was about to come.

Speaker A:

And Jesus says something that would redefine their relationships basically forever.

Speaker A:

He said, a new commandment I'm giving to you, that you love one another as I have loved you, that you also.

Speaker A:

That's how you need to love one another.

Speaker A:

John:

Speaker A:

This wasn't about loving like the culture did or like the religious leaders pretend to do.

Speaker A:

He said, love one another as I have loved you.

Speaker A:

And then he added, by this, everyone will know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another.

Speaker A:

John:

Speaker A:

I mean, think about it.

Speaker A:

That's the mark.

Speaker A:

That's the standard.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Not church attendance.

Speaker A:

That doesn't matter.

Speaker A:

Not theological precision.

Speaker A:

That doesn't matter.

Speaker A:

Not by what denomination you belong to.

Speaker A:

That definitely does not matter.

Speaker A:

Or what denomination you don't belong to.

Speaker A:

That doesn't matter either.

Speaker A:

Not how many verses of the Bible you can quote or how loud you can pray.

Speaker A:

That doesn't matter.

Speaker A:

It's not defined by praying in tongues.

Speaker A:

Either that doesn't matter or it doesn't.

Speaker A:

It doesn't matter what songs you sing, traditional songs, contemporary songs, it doesn't matter.

Speaker A:

The only thing that matters is your relationship with Jesus and your love for one another.

Speaker A:

The world will know you belong to Jesus when they see how well you love other people.

Speaker A:

Not just those in your own church pew, not just those in your own church, not just those in your own political party.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I'm stepping all over those spiritual toes right now.

Speaker A:

Jesus said others will be able to tell you are truly his disciple by how you love others outside your immediate circle.

Speaker A:

The person on the street corner holding up a sign.

Speaker A:

The teller at the grocery store who's having a bad day.

Speaker A:

Do you hear me?

Speaker A:

That's the way.

Speaker A:

That's the only way.

Speaker A:

Jesus said, it's easy to follow rules.

Speaker A:

It's harder to follow love, real love, self sacrificing love.

Speaker A:

But that's the call, folks.

Speaker A:

That's the identity of a true disciple in Christ.

Speaker A:

Jesus pressed further when he said, if you keep my commandments, you'll abide in my love, just as I've kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

Speaker A:

That's in John:

Speaker A:

We often think of obedience and love as separate things.

Speaker A:

But Jesus said they're inseparable.

Speaker A:

You can't claim to love him and ignore what he says.

Speaker A:

You can't walk in his love without walking in his words.

Speaker A:

It's impossible.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Then he reminded them, this is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you.

Speaker A:

He wasn't repeating himself by accident here.

Speaker A:

He was embedding this message into their hearts.

Speaker A:

And then he dropped this.

Speaker A:

Greater love has no one other than this than to lay down your own life for his friends.

Speaker A:

John:

Speaker A:

This wasn't just A teaching.

Speaker A:

It was a prophecy.

Speaker A:

Within hours, he was going to prove it to them.

Speaker A:

He would demonstrate how much the Father, and he actually loves us.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Don't shut me down.

Speaker A:

I'm preaching.

Speaker A:

Good.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

The cross was coming.

Speaker A:

And he wanted them to know in no uncertain terms, this is what love looks like.

Speaker A:

Sacrifice, surrender, service.

Speaker A:

Then he said, you are my friends if you do what I command you to do.

Speaker A:

In verse 14.

Speaker A:

Not if you say you love me.

Speaker A:

No, not if you hang around with the right crowd.

Speaker A:

No, you are my friends.

Speaker A:

You're my inner circle if you obey what I say.

Speaker A:

And what he says is, love one another.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

That's the way.

Speaker A:

It's not paid with applause or accolades.

Speaker A:

It's paid with obedience.

Speaker A:

Obedience to love.

Speaker A:

And so, with eyes locked on the crowd, Jesus said words that will shake their understanding of righteousness.

Speaker A:

Luke, chapter 6, verse 27 and 28.

Speaker A:

He says, But I say to you who hear me, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.

Speaker A:

Bless those who curse you.

Speaker A:

Pray for those who spitefully use you.

Speaker A:

Oh, man, he's stepping all over their toes right now.

Speaker A:

They're like, wait, what?

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

Love our enemies, do good to haters.

Speaker A:

Bless those who curse us.

Speaker A:

Pray for those who abuse us.

Speaker A:

Folks, that's not the world's way.

Speaker A:

That's not even the religious way, is it?

Speaker A:

That's his way, the narrow way, the way that proves you've been with Jesus.

Speaker A:

And he didn't stop there either.

Speaker A:

He kept on going.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

To him who strikes you on one cheek, he says, offer the other one.

Speaker A:

Also say that the best you got, give me another shot.

Speaker A:

What he says, from him who takes away your cloak, don't withhold your tunic either.

Speaker A:

Give that to him.

Speaker A:

Luke 6.

Speaker A:

29.

Speaker A:

I mean, he was dismantling the system of vengeance and self defense and revealing a kingdom posture here.

Speaker A:

Humility, generosity, radical love.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And just as you want men, do to you, do to them likewise.

Speaker A:

That wasn't a feel good slogan.

Speaker A:

It was the operational principle.

Speaker A:

The kingdom of God.

Speaker A:

That's how the way works.

Speaker A:

That's how the way walks.

Speaker A:

That's how the way operates.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

So let me ask you, how are you measuring up so far?

Speaker A:

Oh, boy.

Speaker A:

Who do you need to forgive?

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Who do you need to pray for that you haven't met?

Speaker A:

Who have you avoided loving on because it's uncomfortable or maybe inconvenient?

Speaker A:

Because if Jesus is your way, love's not optional.

Speaker A:

It's the proof he's Your way.

Speaker A:

The way is love.

Speaker A:

The truth is love.

Speaker A:

And the life flows through love, not just spoken, but lived.

Speaker A:

Jesus had just stunned the crowd with his call to love their enemies and to do good to those who hurt them.

Speaker A:

But he still wasn't finished.

Speaker A:

He knew that kind of radical love sounded impossible to the people raised in a culture of revenge and justice and maintaining personal honor.

Speaker A:

So he leaned in, further challenged the logic behind their love, the kind of love that they were used to.

Speaker A:

He said, if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?

Speaker A:

Even sinners love those who love them.

Speaker A:

Luke 6.

Speaker A:

22.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Even sinners can do that.

Speaker A:

That statement must have landed like a jolt.

Speaker A:

It exposed the kind of shallow love people often practice, love that only flows in one direction, love that's earned or love that's expected.

Speaker A:

Jesus was telling them, if you only love the people who treat you well, how are you any different from the rest of the world?

Speaker A:

Then he expanded the thought.

Speaker A:

He said, if you do good only to those who do good to you, what credit's that to you?

Speaker A:

Even sinners do that.

Speaker A:

I mean, there's no spiritual maturity in returning favors.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker A:

That's transactional in nature.

Speaker A:

Anyone can be kind to those who are kind to them.

Speaker A:

But kingdom love goes further than that.

Speaker A:

Jesus is pointing out that doing good isn't truly good unless it's rooted in God's nature, not just human reciprocity.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

He pressed even deeper.

Speaker A:

He said, if you lend those from whom you hope to receive something back, what credits that to you?

Speaker A:

Even sinners lend us sinners just to receive as much back again.

Speaker A:

Ouch.

Speaker A:

Ouch.

Speaker A:

Even our generosity is being called into question.

Speaker A:

Jesus made it clear.

Speaker A:

If your giving is calculated, if it's only extended to those you expect whom to return the favor to you, you're still operating in the world's system, not God's system, but love your enemies, do good land, hoping for nothing in return.

Speaker A:

Jesus said, and you do that, your reward will be great, and you will be sons or the children of.

Speaker A:

Of the most High God.

Speaker A:

Luke 6:35.

Speaker A:

This is where the kingdom turns everything upside down.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Jesus was showing them and showing us what it really means to walk in the way.

Speaker A:

You love without expecting to be loved back.

Speaker A:

You give without keeping score.

Speaker A:

You serve without looking for recognition.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because that's what the Father does.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Luke 6:35 and 36 says, for he's kind to the unthankful and the evil, therefore be merciful, just as your Father's merciful.

Speaker A:

This isn't optional, folks.

Speaker A:

It's the evidence of being a child of the Most High God.

Speaker A:

He loves without limits.

Speaker A:

And if we're walking in his way, that's what we need to do also.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Jesus then drew their attention to something they had heard all their life but misunderstood.

Speaker A:

Jesus said in Matthew 5:43, you've heard that.

Speaker A:

It was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.

Speaker A:

Well, that was the accepted wisdom of the time.

Speaker A:

Love the ones who like you, avoid or even despise the rest.

Speaker A:

But Jesus flipped the script again.

Speaker A:

I'm telling you, love your enemies.

Speaker A:

Bless those who curse you.

Speaker A:

Do good to those who hate you.

Speaker A:

Pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Speaker A:

That wasn't natural.

Speaker A:

He's right.

Speaker A:

You're right.

Speaker A:

That is not natural.

Speaker A:

It's supernatural.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

It's not soft.

Speaker A:

It's spiritual.

Speaker A:

It's spiritual strength.

Speaker A:

And it's the very core of walking in the ways of Jesus.

Speaker A:

Loving with a love that's rooted in grace, not human worth.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

But then he revealed the why you need to do that, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.

Speaker A:

Matthew 5:45.

Speaker A:

That's the goal.

Speaker A:

That is the goal.

Speaker A:

To reflect the Father.

Speaker A:

That's how the world will know you're His.

Speaker A:

Not by how loud you preach, but by how well you love those who are hard to love.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Then he says, he makes the sun rise on both who the evil and the good.

Speaker A:

He sends rain on who, the just and the unjust.

Speaker A:

In other words, God doesn't play favorites.

Speaker A:

Neither should we.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

He blesses even those who ignore Him.

Speaker A:

And if we want to walk in his truth, we have to do the same thing.

Speaker A:

Jesus then reminded them of the world's baseline.

Speaker A:

He said, if you love those who only love you, what reward do you have?

Speaker A:

Anyone can do that.

Speaker A:

But those who belong to the way, to his way, they love.

Speaker A:

Their love reaches beyond themselves.

Speaker A:

It's beyond their comfort.

Speaker A:

It's an actual calling.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And then, like thunder cracking through the sky, Jesus made one of his most unforgettable declarations of all time.

Speaker A:

He said, I am the light of the world.

Speaker A:

He who follows me will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

Speaker A:

John 8:12.

Speaker A:

With that one statement, he drew a spiritual line in the sand right there.

Speaker A:

You're either in the light with him or you're in the darkness without Him.

Speaker A:

There's no middle ground.

Speaker A:

There's no straddling the line there's no neutral territory there.

Speaker A:

You're either in or out, period.

Speaker A:

He didn't say, I'll show you the light.

Speaker A:

He said, I am the light.

Speaker A:

That means truth, clarity, purpose, righteousness are found in him alone.

Speaker A:

And if you follow him, if you walk in the way he walks, if you love how he loves, if you obey what he commands, you will have, he said, the light of life itself.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Not just insight, that's transformation.

Speaker A:

He said it again, even more boldly.

Speaker A:

I've come as a light into the world that whosoever believes in me shall not abide in darkness.

Speaker A:

John:

Speaker A:

I believe it is.

Speaker A:

He didn't come to shame the world.

Speaker A:

No, we shouldn't shame people for who they are.

Speaker A:

He came to illuminate it.

Speaker A:

When you walk into a room, that room should light up with the light of Jesus.

Speaker A:

If you're around sinners, you don't have to go in and condemn them.

Speaker A:

Just your presence will be condemnation enough.

Speaker A:

You'll notice it.

Speaker A:

I'm telling you, folks, you'll notice it.

Speaker A:

You walk into a room where people are doing something they're not supposed to do.

Speaker A:

They're like cockroaches trying to disappear somewhere.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Self condemnation.

Speaker A:

They know.

Speaker A:

They know that.

Speaker A:

They know.

Speaker A:

You don't have to say anything to them.

Speaker A:

Just your presence brings Jesus's spotlight on them.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

So love on them.

Speaker A:

Show Jesus to them without condemning them.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Like I said, he didn't come to shame the world.

Speaker A:

He came to illuminate the world, to shine into the shadowy places, to show people who they really are and who God really is.

Speaker A:

And then he offered an invitation so profound it still echoes today.

Speaker A:

While you have the light, believe in the light that you may become sons of the light.

Speaker A:

He says, this isn't just about seeing the light.

Speaker A:

It's about becoming the light.

Speaker A:

When you believe, you don't walk beside Jesus.

Speaker A:

You begin to shine with the presence of Jesus.

Speaker A:

I've been in stores.

Speaker A:

Walk up to the conapeson, the lady will look up and say, you're a Christian, aren't you?

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Matter.

Speaker A:

I am.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because I can just tell.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

I didn't have a sign says I love Jesus or nothing like that.

Speaker A:

I'm just in blue jeans and a T shirt.

Speaker A:

He says, you're a Christian, aren't you?

Speaker A:

Yes, I am.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

How did.

Speaker A:

What?

Speaker A:

Because I can just tell it's just about you.

Speaker A:

And praise God for that.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

So it's not about seeing the light.

Speaker A:

It's about becoming the light.

Speaker A:

When you believe, you just don't walk besides Jesus or beside Jesus.

Speaker A:

You begin to shine with his presence.

Speaker A:

You begin to reflect his nature.

Speaker A:

You begin to be a living testimony of what it means to be redeemed and transformed and walking in the way, walking in his way.

Speaker A:

Because love is more than a virtue, it's a direction.

Speaker A:

And Jesus, the light, is leading the way in that direction.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

As Jesus continued to teach, he began to speak of the human soul in visual terms of light and darkness, clarity and confusion, not as metaphors, but as spiritual realities.

Speaker A:

The lamp of the body is the eye, he said.

Speaker A:

Therefore, if your eye is good, your whole body is full of light.

Speaker A:

But when your eye is bad, your body's full of darkness.

Speaker A:

Luke:

Speaker A:

This wasn't about:

Speaker A:

It was about perspective, about focus, about what we're allowing in.

Speaker A:

What are you watching on television?

Speaker A:

I'll just ask you that.

Speaker A:

The eye, spiritually speaking anyway, represents the way we perceive things, prioritize, process what's around us.

Speaker A:

When the lens of your life is clear, when it's fixated on the truth, purity of Christ, light floods into your inner world.

Speaker A:

But if your eyes bad, distracted, clouded by compromise, covered with envy or pride, then darkness creeps in.

Speaker A:

And it doesn't just stay at the surface, it actually takes over.

Speaker A:

Jesus warned us, therefore, take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness.

Speaker A:

He said, that's a sobering statement.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

That's a sober say, because it implies that you can think you have light and still be deceived.

Speaker A:

Because you can have religion without revelation.

Speaker A:

You can have morality without transformation.

Speaker A:

You can have emotion without obedience.

Speaker A:

You can have lamp that's already burned out.

Speaker A:

Just because you have the lamp, you can still be walking in the dark if the light's gone out, can't you?

Speaker A:

I mean, don't shut me down.

Speaker A:

I'm preaching.

Speaker A:

Good.

Speaker A:

Somebody got it.

Speaker A:

Anyway, praise God.

Speaker A:

So Jesus gives the remedy.

Speaker A:

If your whole body's full of light, having no part dark, the whole body is full of light.

Speaker A:

As when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.

Speaker A:

It's not about partial surrender.

Speaker A:

It's about full exposure, the kind of life that says, lord, shine your light on every part of me.

Speaker A:

Cleanse what needs to be cleansed, heal what's hidden, burn away what's fake, because only then are we able to shine a light for others.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Which led Jesus to say something that every believer really needs to hear, especially in a World increasingly hostile to the truth.

Speaker A:

He says, you are the light of the world.

Speaker A:

A city that's set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Speaker A:

He wasn't just declaring who he was anymore.

Speaker A:

He was telling us who we are when we follow him.

Speaker A:

You're not invisible to everyone.

Speaker A:

You're not insignificant.

Speaker A:

You are not.

Speaker A:

What's the word, Lord?

Speaker A:

You're not meant to blend in with the crowd.

Speaker A:

You're meant to stand out, he said.

Speaker A:

Nor do they light a lamp and put it underneath a basket.

Speaker A:

But they put it up on the lampstand so it gives light to everyone who comes into the room.

Speaker A:

In other words, you weren't lit up by God so you could hide.

Speaker A:

You were lit up so you could shine.

Speaker A:

The world may want to silence your voice.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

You see how the devil just messed up our.

Speaker A:

Our live broadcast on all the social media today?

Speaker A:

That's all right.

Speaker A:

I'll go back and post the video back there.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

But you know, the devil's a liar.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

They.

Speaker A:

The world may try to silence you.

Speaker A:

They may try to dilute your convictions or pressure you to keep your faith to yourself.

Speaker A:

We don't want to hear about that.

Speaker A:

Just keep your Jesus in.

Speaker A:

You know, don't have a Bible on your desk.

Speaker A:

You know, folks, they're going to try and shut you up.

Speaker A:

Don't let that happen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

What happens if I get fired because of it?

Speaker A:

Well, praise God.

Speaker A:

Bless them as you walk out.

Speaker A:

I can give a warning.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I've done this.

Speaker A:

Didn't go over well.

Speaker A:

They didn't like it, but they'd already told me I was gone.

Speaker A:

I told them, you know, I feel sorry for your business because with me here, at least you had Jesus in this place.

Speaker A:

But now you're even kicking him out, so good luck.

Speaker A:

And it wasn't six months or a year later that whole business failed.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

I mean, I'm just saying, your presence there is what's bringing a blessing to them.

Speaker A:

They can receive it or reject it.

Speaker A:

So they tell you, hey, you're gonna have a Bible on your desk.

Speaker A:

Hit the road, Jack.

Speaker A:

Well, praise God.

Speaker A:

What did I do when I walked out of that business?

Speaker A:

Said Lord Jesus, all right, what's next, Lord?

Speaker A:

Few months later, I had a blessed job.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Anyway, don't draw attention to yourself.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Jesus said, let your light so shine before men, they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Speaker A:

Matthew 5:16.

Speaker A:

So that's.

Speaker A:

You don't need to do this to draw attention to Yourself, not to get praise, but to reveal God to others through you.

Speaker A:

And then he repeated the concept again.

Speaker A:

He said, no one, when he's lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel, puts it under a bed, but they set it on the lampstand so whoever enters may have the light.

Speaker A:

So Jesus wasn't being redundant here, right?

Speaker A:

He was being empathetic.

Speaker A:

He was trying to emphasize something here.

Speaker A:

The kingdom is meant to be seen.

Speaker A:

It's meant to be shown to others.

Speaker A:

It's meant to be spread.

Speaker A:

And then he says something that many people overlook.

Speaker A:

Nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor is anything hidden.

Speaker A:

They will never will that be known and come to the light.

Speaker A:

That's not about God exposing sin.

Speaker A:

It's about God revealing the truth, his word, his ways, his will.

Speaker A:

That's what light does.

Speaker A:

It exposes what's false and confirms what's real.

Speaker A:

And then Jesus gave a deep spiritual key in one of his nighttime conversations, one that revealed why some run from the light rather than towards it.

Speaker A:

In John 3.

Speaker A:

20, he says, for everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deed should be exposed.

Speaker A:

John 3:20.

Speaker A:

People don't avoid the gospel because it's irrelevant.

Speaker A:

They avoid it because it's too relevant.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

It cuts deep.

Speaker A:

It confronts compromise.

Speaker A:

And the moment Jesus shines his light, everything hidden suddenly on display for everyone to see.

Speaker A:

The good news comes next though.

Speaker A:

But he who does the truth comes to the light that his deeds may be clearly seen and that they have been done in God.

Speaker A:

Those who walk in truth don't fear exposure.

Speaker A:

They embrace it.

Speaker A:

They don't pretend to have it all together.

Speaker A:

They step into the light and say, lord, just keep shining, shaping, building me up, keep leading me, keep using me, Lord.

Speaker A:

That's the way.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

It's not about having perfect clarity all the time.

Speaker A:

It's about following the one who does have perfect clarity all of the time.

Speaker A:

It's about letting his light shine through you so others can find their way to him.

Speaker A:

Because the world still walking in darkness.

Speaker A:

But you, you carry the light of life.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

As Jesus brought this message to a close, the intensity didn't fade.

Speaker A:

It deepened.

Speaker A:

The call to love, to forgive, to shine, to stand, to obey wasn't just a spiritual list of ideals.

Speaker A:

It was the way to live.

Speaker A:

And the crowd, listening, just like you are today, had to decide would they follow his way or their own way.

Speaker A:

You could almost hear the silence after he finished speaking.

Speaker A:

Not because people were confused, but because they were convicted because everything Jesus said had pierced the heart.

Speaker A:

It wasn't just about being a good person.

Speaker A:

It was about becoming a kingdom person.

Speaker A:

The disciples leaned in even closer.

Speaker A:

The religious leaders were stunned.

Speaker A:

The ordinary people were caught in the moment between belief and surrender.

Speaker A:

What do we do then?

Speaker A:

Jesus turned and spoke directly to the heart of the issue.

Speaker A:

Have faith in God.

Speaker A:

Mark:

Speaker A:

I love that scripture, but we're not talking about financial prosperity right now.

Speaker A:

At least right now, here, right?

Speaker A:

Not at all.

Speaker A:

He said, have faith in God.

Speaker A:

That was it.

Speaker A:

That was the secret.

Speaker A:

That's how you do it.

Speaker A:

Have faith in God.

Speaker A:

That was the way to walk the narrow path that he had laid out.

Speaker A:

Faith.

Speaker A:

Not faith in religion, not faith in our own strength, not faith in your pastor, faith in God.

Speaker A:

God the Father, who's holy, merciful, and deeply involved in all of it.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Then he added, for assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be thou removed and cast yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done.

Speaker A:

He shall have whatsoever he says.

Speaker A:

Mark:

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

That was about manipulating God with your words.

Speaker A:

No, it wasn't some magic formula.

Speaker A:

No, it's about trusting God enough to speak in alignment with his will.

Speaker A:

Faith speaks what faith believes, not what faith fears what faith believes.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And when that truth is rooted in the truth of God's word, Jesus said, mountains will move out of your way.

Speaker A:

If there was still any doubt whether this was possible or not, Jesus silenced it completely when he said, with men this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Did you get that?

Speaker A:

The way he described was not one.

Speaker A:

We could walk one on a path in our own strength.

Speaker A:

It wasn't something you grit your teeth and just power your way through trying to achieve.

Speaker A:

It was something only God could accomplish, and he can only accomplish it through you.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

The impossible standard becomes possible only through surrendered hearts.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Jesus knew they were overwhelmed with what he was teaching.

Speaker A:

He knew some were thinking, how can I live like that?

Speaker A:

How can I forgive like that?

Speaker A:

How can I give like that?

Speaker A:

How can I love like that?

Speaker A:

And some of you listening to me right now may be asking the same exact thing.

Speaker A:

So he pointed their attention to where it belonged to the Father.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

He said, consider the lilies of the field, how they grow.

Speaker A:

They neither toil nor spin.

Speaker A:

Yet I'm telling you, even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like any of these.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

In other words, if God takes care of the flowers.

Speaker A:

How much more will he take care of you if you just give them the chance?

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

He says, don't fear, little flock.

Speaker A:

It's your Father's good pleasure to give you what?

Speaker A:

The kingdom.

Speaker A:

Luke:

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

What a promise.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

You don't have to earn it, you don't have to strive for it.

Speaker A:

Just surrender and receive it.

Speaker A:

The Father wants to give you, yes, you right now, the kingdom.

Speaker A:

He's not holding it back, he's holding it out, waiting for you to receive it through faith, through Christ Jesus.

Speaker A:

Because Jesus doesn't just show the way.

Speaker A:

He is the way.

Speaker A:

He doesn't just tell you the truth.

Speaker A:

He is the truth.

Speaker A:

He just doesn't give you life.

Speaker A:

He is the life.

Speaker A:

If you've never surrendered your heart to him, well, this is your moment.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Right now.

Speaker A:

If you feel the pull of the spirit, that that tug on your heart that says, this is true.

Speaker A:

I know it's true.

Speaker A:

This is right.

Speaker A:

I know it's right.

Speaker A:

Well, this is your time.

Speaker A:

Yes, it is.

Speaker A:

Don't ignore it.

Speaker A:

Don't wait for it any longer.

Speaker A:

Don't try to explain it away.

Speaker A:

Just pray this with me right now.

Speaker A:

Say, lord Jesus, I believe you are the way, the truth and the life.

Speaker A:

I believe you died for my sins and rose again.

Speaker A:

I turn from my old life, Lord, I surrender to you right now.

Speaker A:

I want to walk your way.

Speaker A:

I want to live your truth.

Speaker A:

I want to receive your life.

Speaker A:

Fill me with your spirit.

Speaker A:

Change me from the inside out and help me to follow you all the days of my life moving forward.

Speaker A:

I pray all this in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

If you prayed that prayer well first.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the kingdom.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the family.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the narrow way.

Speaker A:

You found it.

Speaker A:

Welcome to the real life, the life that lasts forever.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Email me@Brother BobTFM.org and share your testimony.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And if you're a believer who's been drifting, try to walk.

Speaker A:

You've been trying to walk the wide road with a narrow heart.

Speaker A:

Come back today.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Jesus didn't call us to a casual life.

Speaker A:

He called us to a crucified life.

Speaker A:

One that lays everything down.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And finds everything in him.

Speaker A:

Because this message isn't just a sermon, consider it a summons.

Speaker A:

A summons that you have to appear.

Speaker A:

A summons to love deeper, a summons to shine brighter.

Speaker A:

A summons to get give more freely.

Speaker A:

A summons to forgive more fully and walk more closely to the one who gave everything for you.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

The question is whether it's not whether Jesus is the way.

Speaker A:

The question is, will you follow him in the way?

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Man, this was good today.

Speaker A:

Ah, hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Well, that's all the time we do have for today.

Speaker A:

About the Podcast

Red Letter Crusade
Faith, Freedom, and the Words of Jesus
Welcome to the Red Letter Crusade Podcast – where the "Red-Letter Words of Jesus" take center stage.

In a world full of noise, division, and confusion, we’re cutting through it all by focusing on what Jesus actually said. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we bring you a half-hour deep dive into the red-letter words, helping you apply them to your faith, family, business, and daily walk.

On Sundays, join us for a special one-hour episode to equip you for the week ahead with practical, powerful teaching rooted in the words of Jesus.

Our mission is to bring healing to a divided Body of Christ, unity among believers, and clarity for your daily walk with the Lord—all by returning to one thing: What Did Jesus Say?

In each episode, you will receive:

- Straightforward Bible teaching focused on Jesus’ red-letter words
- Real-world application for believers who want to follow Him fully
- Encouragement to live out His words with faith and boldness
- Conversations with pastors, entrepreneurs, and everyday believers walking it out

Our premise is simple: If Jesus said it, that settles it!

Join the Crusade. Subscribe today, grab your Bible (and your coffee - Pastor Bob is known for his coffee!) - and let’s live out His words together…

Because HIS WORDS MATTER!

Robert Thibodeau

I am a 12 year Army veteran as both enlisted and as a commissioned Cavalry Officer.
I am now a retired law enforcement supervisor...

I had my own business for seven years before I entered law enforcement.

As a cop, I was injured on the job on May 12, 2007 and after several surgeries over a couple of years, forced to retire in 2011.

As I was looking down the road to “what am I going to do next?” I started what is now known as a podcast (I had no clue at the time).

Within six months of starting (what I called) “My online radio program” I was offered an opportunity to be on nationwide AM radio. I learned A LOT in one year of doing that!

I then started the online Christian radio platform "Evangelism Radio" in the fall of 2010. It has had listeners in 160+ nations and all 50 states. We host 50+ Christian broadcasters on a weekly basis. We have been operating 24/7 for almost 14 years now. We have been rated #1 in the world by Shoutcast. com on several occasions in our genre. We recently transferred ownership of Evangelism Radio to another ministry so I could concentrate full time on podcasting, preaching and writing.

In 2018, I started the Kingdom Cross Roads Podcast to conduct interviews with Christian influencers from all walks of life and to play their interviews on the radio station. (The KCR Podcast has its own time slot on Evangelism Radio)!
We now have over 1600 episodes and almost 1100 interviews (in just over 6 years).

Looking out at the future of online Christian media, I noticed there was no viable platforms that catered only to the Christian podcast market.

In 2023, we launched a networking platform called, "FaithCasters" which connects "Great Christian podcasters with Great Christian Guests!" This helps to promote the work you do through podcast interviews! Check it out at https://FaithCaster.org

We recently launched "FaithCaster Academy" which serves as a training hub for ALL of our trainings (podcast training / speaker training / interview training, etc.). Members receive access to ALL of our training programs for one low, monthly membership fee. Members also receive FREE access to ALL of the LIVE trainings I conduct (1 or 2 per month) - while non-members have to pay to access the live trainings.

Between my podcast training program, conducting podcast interviews, appearing on other podcasts as guests, speaking at conferences (in person and virtually) and the podcast networking platform, I guess you could say “I’m all in” when it comes to podcasting and online media!

My total focus is to do all we can to assist you to “Get The Word Out” about your mission, services, products, ministry, books, business, etc.
